On October 25, 2008, Statesboro hosted the American Diabetes Association's fall
fundraiser at Mill Creek Regional Park with teams of walkers who raised over $38,000 to help find a cure for diabetes. The event was a great success. To date Bulloch County, through its corporate sponsors and teams of walkers, have raised an amazing total of $63,000. Over 5,000 people in Bulloch County have been diagnosed with diabetes.
